11-Day Wilderness Expedition: Rapids, Lions, and Gorillas

Upon arrival in Uganda, you will be transferred to Forest Cottages, a tranquil retreat surrounded by lush greenery. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, head to Jinja, the adrenaline capital of East Africa. Experience the thrilling white-water rapids of the Nile, optional bungee jumping, or a sunset cruise. Retreat to Jinja Nile Resort for the night.

After breakfast, checkout for lake Mburo National Park. Reach early at your lodge for lunch. After lunch go for a boat cruise at the lake, later go for evening game drive as you retreat for your overnight stay at your lodge.

After your early breakfast, go for morning game drive where you may find animals getting out of their hideouts for a night. And you may have a chance to spot Leopards looking for a catch of the day. Continue driving for more wildlife including giraffes, zebras, topi, bushbuck , warthogs, elands etc. Return to your lodge for lunch and later in the evening, go for your guided nature walk in the community. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, head on to Bwindi. You will drive through the rolling hills of Kigezi as you enjoy the scenic views, reach early for lunch and after lunch go for a guided nature walk in the Batwa community. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

We leave Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. Go through Ishasha Sector in search of Tree Climbing Lions. Continue driving for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and waterbirds like African Skimmers, Great White Pelicans, and Pink-backed Pelicans. And on a lucky day you may see some cats coming to hunt on the channel. Go for evening game drive for any opportunity seeing animals gathering for an overnight.

After breakfast, go chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu Forest. You will be briefed about the chimpanzees and the forest before you go to visit them. stay with them for 1 hour after meeting with them as you enjoy photography in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for freshening up as you wait for your guided walk to the community. Return to your lodge.

after your breakfast, checkout for Masindi, enjoy the beautiful landscape for Bunyoro Kingdom. As you drive, get stopovers for interesting sceneries  where you may take memorable pictures. Continue driving to Masindi. Check in at your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

After a relaxed breakfast, checkout for Murchison Falls National Park, via Top of the Falls. Continue driving to reach early for your lunch break at your hotel. In the evening go for evening game drive in search of Lions, Leopards, Elephants, African Buffalos, Heartbeasts, Uganda Kob and many other species of animals including bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Take your early morning breakfast, go for early morning game drive in a chance of catching Lions from early morning hunt as animals are separating for more space to feed. You may be able also to see Lions feeding on their kill during the night hunt. Proceed through different tracks in the park in search of more wildlife amongst others Giraffes, Buffalos, Waterbuck etc. Return to your lodge for lunch and after go for afternoon boat cruise at the Nile. Later, return to your lodge for overnight stay.
