Best time to go and why?
Tanzania boasts a diverse landscape and a spectacular range of wildlife. To make the most of your visit, it is advisable to plan your trip between June and October when the dry season prevails, resulting in less dense vegetation, excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, and increased chances of spotting animals gathering near water sources. We highly recommend taking advantage of this time to experience the country’s natural beauty fully.
When is high season?
During the period from July to March, the northern circuit parks tend to experience high tourist traffic. It is noteworthy that animal sightings are more frequent between July and October, whereas calving season is observed in January and February.
When is low season?
During the months of April and May, the southern and western safari circuits are relatively quiet. Many lodges choose to close during this period. However, it is worth noting that the northern circuit tends to remain quite busy with visitors.
When is the best weather?
During the months of June through October, the precipitation levels are relatively low, leading to a sparse vegetation. This makes it remarkably easy to spot animals during safaris or any other outdoor excursions. Additionally, clear skies provide an enjoyable and serene atmosphere for any leisure activities.
