Where is the reserve located?
The park situated in the Manyara region of Tanzania is a significant landmark spanning 2600 km2 between the Maasai Steppe and Great Rift Valley lake region. It is the sixth largest park in the country and bears the name of the river that provides the primary source of water for the region’s wildlife during the dry season. When to visit
Tanzania offers some of the best wildlife experiences in the world. If you are planning a trip mainly for the wildlife, the best time to go is between late June and October. At this time of year, all of the animals gather around the Tarangire River because of the limited rainfall.
The terrain is also dry and good for safari runs, making it high season with many guests around. On the other hand, low season is between April and May when animals move out of the park for the wet season and the roads can be slick.
