Beginning in Arusha, the gateway of the northern safari circuit in Tanzania, you will stay at Arusha Coffee Lodge, located on a working coffee plantation. You will then move on to the exclusive Chem Chem Lodge which is renowned for its iconic wildlife that gathers around the many watering holes in front of the lodge.

At Chem Chem Lodge we can arrange for a traditional Maasai ceremony complete with a Maasai choir to celebrate your special bond. This will make an extra special moment in time even more beautiful. On day 4, you will travel to the andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, located right on the rim of the Crater with the most breathtaking views on the planet. Last but not least, we’ll escort you to the ultra-luxurious One Nature Nyaruswiga Serengeti, located in the heart of the central Serengeti. The Serengeti is often referred to as the ‘Big Cat Capital’ and is home to over 3,000 lions. All of this paints the perfect backdrop for the enchanting and extra special romantic safari of your dreams.

Your breakdown of this Natural East Africa Wonders Trip

Day one – two

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, a local True Vine Safari staff member will assist you with your 30-minute luxury transfer to Gran Melia to start this East Africa tour.

Where you’ll stay: Gran Melia Arusha

Gran Meliá Arusha is located on 18 acres of beautifully landscaped coffee and tea plantations in the heart of Arusha. Enjoy incredible views of the surrounding gardens with Mount Meru as a backdrop, and treat yourself to a spa treatment, swim in the heated pool, or gym workout. This is the perfect place to start your safari adventure.

Experiences

With the only rooftop bar in Arusha, this is the perfect spot to enjoy sundowners while overlooking the exquisite 18 acres of lush, manicured gardens and tea and coffee plantations. On a clear day you can enjoy clear views of Mount Meru – Mount Kilimanjaro’s ‘little sister’. We recommend indulging in the gourmet buffet at the hotel’s main restaurant for dinner.

Day three – four

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, your guide will drive you to your next destination in the Tarangire National Park. The drive is approximately 3 hours, with a picnic lunch stop en route

Where you’ll stay: Elewana Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops comprises 20 luxurious suites elevated above the ground with views over the tops of surrounding marula and baobab trees. Each suite boasts a floor space of 65 square meters with an exotic double shower en suite bathroom. Enjoy a gourmet dinner in the boma, or refreshing dip in the swimming pool with a Serengeti Lager in hand.

Experiences

Enjoy an authentic safari experience with custom 4×4 game drives, guided walking safaris, bird watching and a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village. Located in close proximity to an active watering hole, you will be able to watch a plethora of wildlife coming and going from the comfort of your deck at the lodge. During your stay a gourmet bush picnic will also be provided, as well as a thrilling night game drive.

Day five – six

Following a hearty breakfast after your morning safari activity (which can be either arranged in the bush or at the main camp) your Ker & Downey® Africa guide will collect and transfer you through to the Ngorongoro area and on to your next destination.

Where you’ll stay: Entamanu Ngorongoro

Situated high on the famed Ngorongoro crater rim, Entamanu Ngorongoro Tented Camp has seven luxurious en-suite tents that overlook the crater amidst ancient acacia trees and dormant volcanic hills. Each suite features a private viewing deck and can be completely disassembled to leave no mark on its pristine environment.

Experiences

Enjoy a private Ngorongoro Crater descent with your guide on the 2nd day of your stay at Entamanu – this is a major bucket list experience! Other highlights include bush picnics, guided walks in the surrounding highlands and Maasai village visits. End your days with a sundowner overlooking paradise.

Day seven – nine

Enjoy your last safari activity at the Ngorongoro Crater before your private transfer to the airstrip at Manyara. From here you will board your scheduled light aircraft flight over the plains to the central Serengeti.

Day ten

Enjoy a delicious final breakfast at camp before embarking on your return transfer to the Seronera Airstrip. From here, you will board a light aircraft for a 2-hour flight to Arusha. From here, another 45-minute road transfer will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound international flight home. You will have plenty of time on the flight to revel in your unforgettable experiences of three of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Each of which will have, undoubtedly, made you fall even more in love with this awe-inspiring continent.
